Brocks Riverside Grill in Fredericksburg

Over the Christmas holiday a few of our friends (10) decided to have dinner and get together here on a Saturday night. The dining room was not that busy when we got there but picked up as the night wore on. The staff was very friendly from the time we walked in and were escorted to our table to the waitress that served us. I chose to have a side salad and a Riverside Burger with normal fries and my wife chose sweet potato fries. Some of our friends had Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, Roasted Chicken and Seafood Carbonara (see menu for more info). Everyone enjoyed their meal and would recommend it to other friends. Sorry I do not know the name of the waitress that served us but she did a very good job.... Thanks.

Food was very good...and so was the french martini...very disappointed that the kids mac and cheese meal was "kraft" mac n cheese

Our Server, Kate was very nice and pleasant. Appetizer (Corn/crab hushpuppies) were good. My wife enjoyed her salad, which is always a good thing. I got the meatloaf special. It was really good. Loved the green beans and mashed potatoes too. Wish it was hotter when served. Love the wine selection and looking forward to our next visit!

Wow. What a wonderful meal I just had. Caesar salad with bleu cheese dressing was fresh and delicious. Roasted chicken was a culinary delight and the roasted veggies on the side were seasoned to perfection for me. Have eaten here many times and food was always good, but this meal was definitely GREAT! This was a superb KETO meal.

A friend and I had lunch there. We sat outside on their patio in the shade. Looked at the river as we eat. We had fried calamari it was delicious and a large serving. I had the cesaer salad small with grilled shrimp yummy. My friend had the Buffalo chicken wrap with fries also a large serving. The staff where friendly. They wore masks. The place was clean.

We ate lunch here on the very small outdoor deck. One issue is that the table is on top of the door, causing issues for both customers & servers.Food was very good. Two of us had hamburgers, one had the salmon & one a salad. Food was proper temperature & all of us enjoyed the flavor.Service was OK. Had to ask to have water refilled & when we ordered desert, my wife asked for coffee, which did not come, until we asked another employee to remind our server about the coffee request. Other than that it was very good.Nice setting overlooking the river.We will come back in the future.

Outstanding dinning on the outside Veranda with a view of the river. Food and service was top notch. Drinks were well prepared and tasty.

Stopped by to see how everyone is doing during this time of the pandemic. Always been a great place to eat and have drinks. Food is always top notch and the bartenders are friendly.

Hostess seated us where we asked and service was prompt. Decent crab cake sandwich with tasty remoulade.

We love Brock's! It has been consistently good for all the years it has been open. We especially love the ribs (they fall off the bone), steaks and seafood dishes. Love sitting on the veranda overlooking the river in warm weather.

Enjoyed the terrace seating. Lunch was delicious.

Great atmosphere. Chicken tortilla soup was good. Jambalaya was very tasty and filling. Ribs needed more seasoning, but very tender. Will return again!

Stopped in town on our way to Florida and hotel recommended this place. Definitely not disappointed by the "Fried Green Tomatoes with Crabmeat. (Suggested by our waiter) Beautiful to the eye and scrumptious to the belly. A bit spicy and just the way I like them. Fiance had the house burger that was cooked to perfection. Restaurant has a lot and street parking. Also handicap accessible. Great staff and warm atmosphere. Highly recommend this home town pub.

Went to lunch on the deck once restaurants were allowed to provide food service once Virginia started to open. Brock's did not miss a beat during the shutdown. Food and service was fantastic. We like the great deck anyway, so "being" required to eat outside was great with us.Glad Brock's is back serving great food and great fun

Greatest food ever and loved the service outside today

Very disappointed in our brunch. I ordered the eggs Benedict, the Canadian bacon was only a half a slice with a poached egg and barely enough Holiday sauce to cover the egg. Had to ask for more holiday sauce. Also had the French toast which was very dry and hard to cut. Had to ask for syrup and the topping of strawberries was four slices of strawberries.

Great environment and view. Very good staff! Enjoyed it immensely. Great food and beer!

Need a bit more attentiveness from the serving staff. While waiting to be seated, we sat in the bar. It was empty with only us and a Bartender. We still had to go up to the bar to request our drinks. Even when we had checked in before we went to the bar, we waited for about 30 minutes to be seated (again, it was pretty empty), and we had to go up to the attendant to ask if our table was ready, which by then they ended up seating us. After that, it was fine. Still, our server was a bit slow and had to be flagged down a couple of times to ask for more water, etc. The food was great, however.

Very nice setting on the river with lots of outdoor seating. Service was quick and friendly. I had the chicken caprese sandwich. The chicken was chewy but the sandwich was flavorful. My husband had the soup of the day, a tomato-based vegetable soup that was tasty. He had to ask for crackers and then was given one package of two crackers. Nice wine list. Good prices.

Nice, large (although a tad dark) dining room with views of the river. Friendly, but a tad forgetful (3 times for various items), service. Food was surprisingly good overall but the creme brulee seemed to lack flavor. 3 of the 4 of us had the meat loaf special....quite tasty and good texture. Green beans were nicely cooked as were the fingerling potatoes.

There was a mix up on reservations. Apparently you can not make reservations online. Even though there is a selection through android devices to do so. But they were able to comindate and get us a high top table, and pleased us to make sure we had a good experience. The food was very good, our entrees were missing things that were said to be in it on the menu. When confronted them about it, they were nice enough to make sure they brought out what we were missing. I'm glad they handled everything with absolute professionalism. We will definitely be back again. Thank you Jason for the great valentine's day experience. You were very helpful.

Had an awesome time! Both entrees and the dessert were delicious, the staff were fantastic with good prices. I will be back soon!

Stopped for a summer lunch on the river. Crab cakes and sweet potato fries were great. Didn't think much of the salad with it. Inside is very dark and sealing needs to be replaced. Service was on the slow side for an uncrowded resturant.

This place is so beautiful on a nice fall evening out on the deck with trains riding by. My mother and I loved it here, it is a must to stop here and eat. Also the food is amazing and 3 nights a week they have live music

Brock's is a great place to get a great meal with a very nice selection on their menu. It's still very early spring so much pictures aren't photogenic but dining outside by the river is quite nice. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. The staff is always warm and friendly. Our lunch was served in a timely manner and prepared fresh. Give them a try.

After several visits, We have come to the conclusion.....Brock's is excellence waiting for your taste buds to discover. Choose between a rustic feeling bar or elegant dining (separate area, inside or outside, your choice) Live bands on the weekend will help you let your hair down after a busy week of work in the city. Great for special occasions or simply for a quick bite before heading out to explore Old Town Fredericksburg.

Great service. Good food. Amazing scenery. Could do without the bugs but when you're riverside gotta put up with the things that live around it lol

It's decent but expensive. $14 for a Reuben? Y'all know that's just corned beef, right? Drinks were good and service was great.

We enjoyed an early dinner. The hostess and our waitress, Victoria, were both friendly and attentive. Our favorite entree, Seafood Carbonara, was served promptly, hot, and filled with perfectly cooked seafood. My husband especially likes the sauce. Brock’s is one of our favorite restaurants for lunch or dinner.

FAVORITE BAR IN FREDERICKSBURG!!!! Can't think of a better place to spend my Thursday nights when I was in college. Dollar beer night was what I looked forward to all week. I'm sure the bouncer hated the students, but they were nice regardless. Good food, good times, and good service. My #1 spot I need to visit whenever I'm in Fredericksburg, and it's directly on the river. Love, love, love!!!!

Good Food and Friendly Service

Neighborhood place that exceeds bar food expectations. We ordered the roast chicken and Market Salad, splitting Creme Brulee for dessert. It is on the river, and you can see it, but don't come for the ambiance!

Careley and Will are the best! So glad the patio is open again!

It's a nice bar and grill too go too, but on the weekends there are just too many people for my liking, they have great food and an outdoor atmosphere, great people and you'll have a good time here

I enjoyed a really nice dinner there (on the small outdoor patio) with a great view of the river. My order was slightly wrong, but the server fixed it immediately, and gave me extra food to make up for it. I was very pleased at this great customer service!

I always enjoy getting out with friends and Brock’s never disappoints! Food, service, and atmosphere are outstanding!

Went to Brock's for brunch. Unfortunately, it was too cool to sit outside(missed the trains!). Bartendress was great! Had biscuits and gravy. Liked that they had football helmets of the teams that were playing, or going to be playing, under the appropriate tv's.

Visited Brock's for anniversary dinner. Great table with river view and server was great in allowing us time to enjoy drinks and view without feeling rushed. Too warm for outside but the inside table afforded a good view. Food was delicious. Will definitely be back.

Great food, quick service, awesome river view and a fun atmosphere

Great view of the river, and right next to a rail bridge that makes for an occasional rumbling, horn blowing show. We like the patio, and the drinks and bar food appetizers are good. The ribs are top notch, the sampler of a 6 pack of ribs, nice sauce, good sear, lots of meat. The only issue was Sunday was cool and little windy, and it was a reminder that summer is coming to a close. Just bummed us out a little.

Great choice for outdoor dining. Will be back.
